What to Bring: Books, pencils and paper, sketchbooks, watercolors, laptops, a camera, plug convertors. There are nearby towns for additional purchases but the selection is basic. In regards to packing for weather, please see below.

Weather: The weather in October is fickle. We recommend you plan for the coldest and wettest option and hope for the warmth of an Indian summer, which can mean t-shirt and light sweaters. Bring raincoats and boots. Walking shoes. Layers. Scarves, gloves, hat. A bathing suit for the brave. Please check the weather report before leaving and note that changes are always likely.

Additional Travels: If you are continuing on in France and would like some recommendations, we would be more than happy to share what we know. The Loire valley is about 3 hours away by car. Deauville is 1.5 hours away. The D-day beaches are 3 hours. The Burgundy wine region is 2.5 hours away. Versailles is a 45-minute drive or direct train.
